was a four year letterman (1989-92) in football. A native of Macon, GA, Dean played on the defensive line and made the All-SIAC Defensive Team in 1990, 1991 and 1992. During the 1991-92 season, he was the All-SIAC Co-Defensive Player of the Year. In 1992, he made the Associated Press Little College All-America First Team and was also selected to the Black College Sports All-America Team. Dean led Savannah State in sacks in 1990 and 1991.
Dean graduated from Savannah State in 1994 with a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering technology. In 1997, he received his MPA in information systems from Kentucky State University. Dean is married and has three children. Currently, he lives in Kennesaw, GA and works as a quality control engineering manager for GE Energy in Atlanta, GA.
