Bobby Brown (1948 – 1952) was one of the most versatile athletes to ever don the blue and orange for Savannah State. Brown lettered in football, basketball, and track at SSC. He was a starting forward on the basketball team and a fine track sprinter. He was the starting quarterback on the fabulous Savannah State football team that had Robert Slocum at halfback, Joseph Turner at end, and Curtis P. Harris playing the tackle position.
