SAVANNAH, Ga.- Macada McDonald won two events on Saturday at the Savannah State Orange and Blue Classic which was held at Theodore A. Wright Stadium.
McDonald won the 100m hurdles with a time of 14.84 and then won the 400m hurdles race with a time of 1:04.66.
As a team, Savannah State finished third overall with 97 points.
Southeastern won the meet with 172 points while Edward Waters was second with 101 points.
Also winning their event was
Victoria Taylor and the 4x100m relay team.
Taylor won the 100m event with a run of 12.95 while the 4x100m relay team of
Nasiya Thomas,
Aneya Kight, Taylor and
Samyah Berry posted a time of 49.53.
In the 100m race, Thomas was third with a time of 13.63 while
Yahaisha Ramsey was 4th (13.71), Berry was 5th (13.81) and
Taylor Clark was 6th (13.97).
Kinya Jackson was second in the 200m race with a run of 27.29 and Ramsey finished fourth with her time of 28.41.
Saniya Swain was second in the 100m hurdles (15.58) and triple jump (10.03m) and third in the long jump (4.45m).
Kight was third in the high jump with a leap of 1.42m while
Lauryn Clark finished sixth in the discus (30.83m) and seventh in the hammer throw (23.38m).
