SAVANNAH, Ga.- Kionna Chance and Saniya Swain both won events at the Savannah State Orange & Blue Relays which was held Saturday at Theodore A. Wright Stadium.

Chance won the triple jump with a leap of 11.46m while Swain captured the 100m hurdles race with a time of 16.30.

As a team, SSU finished tied for third with Fort Valley State with 83 points.

In the field events, Lauryn Clark finished fourth in the hammer throw with her toss of 27.39m while in the discus, Lauryn Clark was seventh with a throw of 27.25m and Taylor Clark came in 11th after her throw was measured at 19.00m.

Chance was second in the long jump after her leap of 5.05m and Swain was sixth following her jump of 4.56m. Swain finished fourth in the triple jump with a jump of 10.50m.

In the relay races, the 4x100m team was second with a time of 49.70 while the 4x400m squad was third after finishing with a run of 4:42.12.

Alana Jones came in third in the 100m race with a time of 12.87 followed by Samyah Berry who was seventh (13.33), Yahaisha Ramsey who was ninth (13.69) and Chance who was tenth (13.91). In the 200m event, Victoria Taylor finished eighth with a run of 27.37 and Ramsey came in 12th with her run of 28.53. Camille Tinsley placed third in the 400m with her run of 1:04.37.

Shovonne Harp crossed the finish line in third place in the 100m hurdles after her run of 18.07 while in the 400m hurdles, Swain came in second with a run of 1:10.24 while Tinsley was seventh with a time of 1:21.98.

Brewton Parker won the meet with 192 points followed by Francis Marion (172), Savannah State (83), Fort Valley State (83), South Carolina Central Christian College (12) and Warren Wilson (6).
