SAVANNAH, Ga.- Kionna Chance won the triple jump and came in third in the long jump at the Savannah State Relays on Saturday at Theodore A. Wright Stadium.
Chance had a leap of 11.14m to win the triple jump and had a jump of 4.91m to take third in the long jump.
The freshman from Auburn, Georgia was also a member of the SSU 4x100m relay team that placed third in their event with a time of 50.28. Other members of the relay team were
Saniya Swain,
Alana Jones and
Camille Tinsley.
In the 400m hurdles,
Saniya Swain finished second with a run of 1:12.58 while
Shovonne Harp was fourth with her time of 1:15.21.
Camille Tinsley had a time of 1:05.95 to finish ninth in the 400m race and in the 100m race,
Alana Jones was ninth after her run of 12.80 and
Yahaisha Ramsey was 15th with a time of 13.84.
Taylor Clark's throw of 6.16m was good enough for 14th in the shot put.
Savannah State finished fourth at the meet with 33 points.
Clark Atlanta won the meet with 239 points followed by Albany State (184) and Allen (47) to round out the top three.
South Carolina Central Christian College finished with 11 points.
The Lady Tigers next compete at the Morehouse Relays on March 25th in Atlanta.
