TIGERVILLE, S.C.- Savannah State participated in the North Greenville Cherokee Valley Bash which was held Monday and Tuesday at the Cherokee Valley Country Club.
Savannah State finished ninth with a score of 775 (385-390).
Union was the team winner with a score of 648.
Miracle Goolsby was the low medalist for SSU with a score of 181 (93-88) which put her tied for 33rd. In the opening round, Goolsby shot for par on the second, third, fifth and ninth holes while making a birdie on the sixth hole. The graduate student from Atlanta made birdies on the third and eighth holes in the second round and shot for par four times.
Coming in 42nd was
Jenna Wilson who had a score of 192 (90-102). Wilson shot for par on the first hole of the opening round as well as the third thru sixth holes in the first round. In the second round, she shot for par on the 12th and 17th holes.
Angela Dodson finished 47th with a score of 201 (100-101). Dodson shot for par on the first three holes and the fifth hole in the opening round and shot for par twice in the second round on the second and 18th holes.
Morgan Wilkerson shot for par four times during the front nine of the first round. Wilkerson finished the tournament in 49th with a score of 205 (106-99).
Corryn Rodney finished seven strokes behind Dodson and three strokes behind Wilkerson with a score of 208 (102-106) to come in 51st. Rodney shot for par on the third, fifth, eighth and tenth hold in the first round and one the 10th and 14th holes in the second round.
Sydney Devore was the individual winner after shooting a 154.
The Ladies will next head to Houston, Texas next Monday and Tuesday for the Women In Golf Championship.
