AUGUSTA, Ga.-
Miracle Goolsby led the Savannah State women's golf team as they participated in the Peach Belt Athletic Conference Women's Golf Championship on April 18-20 at the Forest Hills Golf Club.
Goolsby finished 26th overall with a score of 262.
As a team, SSU finished seventh with a score of 1096.
At the conclusion of the first round, Goolsby was tied for 28th with a score of 93. She shot for par five times and made a birdie on the fifth hole.
Jenna Wilson was right behind Goolsby with a score of 94. She only shot for par three times in the opening round but made birdies on the ninth and tenth holes.
On the second day of action, Goolsby carded a 82 as she shot for par 11 times and ended the day tied for 26th.
Morgan Wilkerson and
Angela Dodson were tied for 29th with Wilkerson shooting a 87 on the day while Dodson shot 90.
As a team, SSU went from shooting a 380 on the first day to 355 on the second day.
In the final round, Savannah State shot 361 and Goolsby carded a 87, making a birdie on the 10th hole and shooting for par seven times.
Dodson shot a season-low 86 in the final round and shot for par seven times.
In the end, Dodson finished 28th with a score of 272 (96-90-86) while Wilkerson was on her heels at 29th with a score of 277 (99-87-91).
Wilson finished 30th after shooting 287 (94-96-97) while Corynn Rodney carded a 294 (97-97-100) to finish 31st.
Lander won the Peach belt title with a score of 897 while McLain Neal of USC Beaufort was the individual low medalist after shooting a three-round score of 216.
