MONTGOMERY, Ala.- Savannah State opened the 2025 portion of their schedule by participating in the ASU Spring Classic which was hosted by Alabama State at the Arrowhead Country Club. The two day event which covered 36 holes, took place on Sunday and Monday. The final 54 holes were cancelled, because of the weather.
Savannah State finished 11th in the 12 team event, just ahead of Edward Waters.
The Lady Tigers had a team score of 739 (375-364).
Morgan Wilkerson was the low medalist for SSU with a score of 179 (90-89) and finished tied for 47th.
Spots 51, 52 and 53 belonged to
Miracle Goolsby, Corynn Rodney and
Angela Dodson.
Goolsby shot 184 (92-92) while Rodney shot 186 (98-89) while Dodson carded a 190 (94-94).
Jernia Hill finished 57th after a score of 203 (101-102).
Evansville won the event with a team score of 608 (303-305) and Ekaterina Petrova of Evansville had the individual low score of 147 (71-76).
