ATLANTA, Ga.- The Savannah State women's track team finished fifth in the Clark Atlanta Panther Track & Field Classic on March 9, 2024 at Panther Stadium.

The Lady Tigers had 61 points to finish fifth behind Hope (114.5), Albany State (111.5), Tuskegee (75) and Clark Atlanta (65). Twenty teams competed in the meet.

SSU finished the day with a dozen top ten finishes and placed in the top 20 in 14 events.

The 4x100m relay team won their event with a time of 49.00. Members of the SSU 4x100m relay team are
Da'Aliyah Johnson,
Shaniah McDaniel,
Ravyn Cystrunk and
Sadrea Mabry.

Johnson won the long jump with a leap of 5.20m while Dudley (high jump) and Mabry (triple jump) were second in their events. Dudley had a jump of 1.56m and Mabry had a leap of 10.94m.

Cystrunk placed third in the 400m race with a time of 59.07 and Mabry was third in the long jump with a jump of 5.05m.

Finishing fourth were
Maddison Green in the 400m hurdles (1:11.12) and Cystrunk in the 200m (25.72) competition.

In the 100m hurdles race,
Jeainna Bryant (16.55) was seventh,
Ky'Leigha Robinson (17.34) was ninth and McDaniel (17.36) finished tenth.

Robinson was seventh in the long jump with a leap of 4.73m and Dudley's leap of 10.02m was good enough for ninth in the triple jump.

In the 100m, McDaniel was timed at 12.97 to finish 15th while
Nadia Mathews was 17th with a run of 13.12 and Bryant was 28th after her run of 13.34.

Mathews finished 28th in the 200m race and
Kinya Jackson was 33rd. Mathews had a run of 27.64 and Jackson was timed at 27.90.
