BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Savannah State track & field team opened their 2026 indoor season by participating in the Green and Gold Invite, hosted by Alabama Birmingham at the Birmingham Crossplex.

Kionna Chance was 11th in the triple jump with a leap of 11.03m while Saniya Swain was 23rd in the 60m hurdles with a run of 9.67.

Lauryn Clark and Kaliyah Brown both finished 36th in their events.

Clark had a throw of 8.26m in the shot put and Brown had a time of 3:01.95 in the 800m race.
