SAVANNAH, Ga. – Savannah State men's and women's basketball will close out a busy January in Tiger Arena this coming week, concluding a month of nine home doubleheaders. They host Edward Waters on Saturday and Allen University on Monday in key Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) games.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
The Lady Tigers currently lead the SIAC East Division with a 7-3 conference record. They are 11-4 overall and were ranked No. 10 in the D2SIDA South Region Poll at the beginning of the week. They enter a three-game homestand off a loss to Clark Atlanta on Monday.

MEN'S BASKETBALL
The Tigers have been hot in January. They opened with four straight wins—their streak stopped by a three-point loss to Morehouse last Saturday. But they rebounded on Monday with a win against Clark Atlanta. They return to Tiger Arena for a three-game homestand this week. They currently lead the SIAC East Division with an 8-3 conference record. They are 10-5 overall.
