SAVANNAH, Ga. – Savannah State football and volleyball return home this week, coming off big conference road victories this past weekend. The cross country teams opened their season last weekend with a win as well, but will take this week off ahead of their next meet on Oct. 7.
 
FOOTBALL
Football enters week five off a big 15-3 win over Morehouse last Saturday. The Atlanta game capped a three-game road swing for the Tigers as they enter back-to-back home games to open October.

This week, they host Kentucky State in an important Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) crossover game in Theodore A. Wright Stadium. Savannah State's 2-1 conference record moved them into second place in the SIAC East Division. Kentucky State is 0-4 on the season and 0-1 in conference.

VOLLEYBALL
Volleyball came out of the 2022 SIAC Crossover with three big wins this past weekend. They will look to improve their SIAC standings this Thursday when they host a tough Edward Waters team—who is currently just ahead of them in the SIAC East Division standings—in Tiger Arena.
