SAVANNAH, Ga. – Savannah State football and volleyball are well under way with their 2022 seasons. Men's and women's cross country will begin their season this Friday. Here's a look at what's happening in Tiger Nation this week.
 
FOOTBALL
Football enters week four of the season off a tough loss to Benedict last Thursday. The young Tiger team will look to bounce back this week with an important Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) East Division game in Atlanta against Morehouse.

VOLLEYBALL
Volleyball heads into the week off a stellar performance at an SIAC mini-crossover event this past Saturday. The Lady Tigers hope to parlay that momentum into a big win on Tuesday against top-rated SIAC East Division leader Albany State. They head into a two-day 2022 SIAC Crossover tournament this weekend where they will play five teams in two days from the SIAC West Division.

CROSS COUNTRY
The men's and women's cross country teams open their 2022 season this week at the Queen City Invite. In the same meet last year, Kayla Chance set a new school record en-route to an SIAC Championship.
