FOOTBALL
Football enters week six off a tough 13-28 loss to Kentucky State on Sunday. The Tigers are 2-3 overall this season and 2-1 in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) schedule. For Homecoming, Savannah State hosts Virginia University of Lynchburg in a non-conference game. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m.

VOLLEYBALL
Volleyball returns to action this week after Hurricane Ian postponed their lone match last week. The Lady Tigers play two games this week. They will face a tough Benedict team on the road Tuesday and then return home for a Friday Homecoming match against Allen.

CROSS COUNTRY
The men's and women's cross country teams opened the 2022 campaign on Sept. 23 at the Queens City Open. Defending SIAC Champion Kayla Chance secured another first place finish in the meet. The teams return to Charlotte, N.C. this Friday for the Royal XC Challenge—also hosted by Queens City University.
