SAVANNAH, Ga. – Savannah State University women's basketball team (6-14, 4-4 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) looks to bounce back against Maryland Eastern Shore Monday at 5:30 p.m. in Princess Anne, Md., after snapping a season-long four game winning streak the last time out.
 
The last time out, the Lady Tigers fell to Howard University 55-49 Saturday snapping a four-game winning streak.  Senior center Tiyonda Davis recorded her second consecutive double-double with a game-high 17 rebounds and a career-high 17 points with three blocks and two assists, while senior forward Jeremica Edwards recorded her first career double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.    
 
Hendrix leads the team with 11.2 points per game, while Moss is averaging 10.6 points per game.  Davis leads the team with 8.8 rebounds per game and with 3.5 blocks per game, and averages 6.9 points per game, while Edwards is averaging 6.8 rebounds per game and 5.6 points per game.
 
Davis ranks third in the MEAC in rebounds per game (8.7), which ranks 67th in the National Collegiate Athletic Association, and is second in blocks per game (3.5), which ranks sixth in the NCAA and eighth in the country with 66 blocks.  In her career, the Athens, Ga., native holds the school record in the Division I era with 262 career blocks and with 885 career rebounds.  She also ranks eighth with 809 career points and sixth with 349 career made field goals.  Davis' 65 blocks this season ranks fifth in school history in a single season, two behind fourth place. 
 
Hendrix, who was named the College Sports Madness MEAC Player of the Week Monday, holds the school record in the Division I era with 174 career made 3-pointers and is the third Lady Tiger to record 1,000-plus points with 1,106, which ranks second in school history, and ranks third with 386 made field goals, six made field goals to place second. 
 
Maryland Eastern Shore has lost four of the last five games with the lone win at Bethune-Cookman (59-56).  The Hawks are led by Ciani Byrom with 14.6 points per game and averages 4.1 rebounds per game, while Mariah McCoy with 10.3 points per game and 3.9 rebounds per game and Moengaroa Subritzky averages 10.2 points per game and a team-high 6.5 rebounds per game.
 
The Lady Tigers return home for a three-game homestand starting with Hampton University Saturday at 4 p.m. in Tiger Arena.  The Pirates won the first meeting this season 75-46 in Hampton, Va., on Jan. 9.
