SAVANNAH, Ga. – Savannah State University women's basketball team (3-13, 1-3 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) travels to Orangeburg, S.C., to face South Carolina State University (3-10, 0-2 MEAC) Monday at 5:30 p.m.
 
Savannah State continues a four-game stretch in seven days.  The Lady Tigers fell to Hampton (1/9) 75-46 and to Norfolk State (1/11) 61-55, but defeated Florida A&M (1/14) 56-52 and faces SCSU Monday.
 
The last time out, the Lady Tigers erased a 16-point third quarter deficit to defeat Florida A&M 56-52 in Tiger Arena Saturday.  Graduate student guard Lauren "Gaby" Moss led the team with 16 points on 7-for-14 shooting and added three assists and three steals after missing the two previous games, while senior guard Kenyata Hendrix added 15 points, three rebounds, three assists and two steals.  Senior forward Jeremica Edwards added 10 rebounds and six points, while senior center Tiyonda Davis added six rebounds and six blocks.
 
The five made field goals by Hendrix against NSU gives her 370 career made field goals, which moved her into third most in school history in the Division I era and trails second place by 19 made field goals.  The Carrollton, Ga., native holds the school record in 3-point field goals made with 187 and ranks second in scoring with 1,065.
 
Hendrix leads the team with 11.4 points per game, while graduate student guard Lauren "Gaby" Moss is averaging 10.2 points per game.  Davis leads the team with 7.9 rebounds per game and with 3.4 blocks per game, and averages 5.9 points per game, while Edwards is averaging 6.4 rebounds per game and 5.2 points per game.
 
Davis ranks fourth in the MEAC in rebounds per game (7.9) and is second in blocks per game (3.4), which ranks sixth in the NCAA and 10th in the country with 51 blocks. 
 
After starting the season 3-2, SCSU has lost the last eight games, including a 64-34 loss to Bethune-Cookman the last time out.  The Lady Bulldogs are led by Bryeasha Blair with 17.4 points per game and averages 4.2 rebounds per game, while Brittany Drumgoole averages 10.8 points per game and 4.4 rebounds per game and Jahmai Bradley leads with 7.2 rebounds per game and averages 8.5 points per game.
 
The Lady Tigers return home for a two-game homestand starting with Morgan State University (2-14, 0-3 MEAC) Saturday at 4 p.m. in Tiger Arena.
