NOTES:
> No. 2 Savannah State enters the 2015 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) title game against No. 8 Maryland Eastern Shore on a program-high 10-game winning streak. They are the first basketball team since the school joined the conference in 2011-12 to reach a MEAC title game.
> The 2014-15 Lady Tigers have the best NCAA Division I overall record (20-11), since the program elevated in the 2002-03 season.
> This will be the second meeting of the teams this year. Maryland Eastern Shore handed SSU one of only three regular season conference losses, downing the Lady Tigers 61-50 on January 17 in Princess Anne, Maryland. This is the 10th meeting of the teams. UMES leads the series 6-3. They have only faced off in the MEAC tournament one other time. In 2011-12, SSU's first year of competition in the MEAC, the Lady Tigers fell to UMES in the first round, 28-51.
> Redshirt senior, Ezinne Kalu (MEAC Preseason Player of the Year, All-MEAC First Team) leads the Lady Tigers in scoring, averaging 16.4 points a game. She leads the MEAC and is nationally ranked fifth in steals per game (3.2/g). Senior Jasmine Norman is the only other Lady Tiger in double-digit scoring on the year, averaging 11.1 points a game.
> As a team, SSU is ranked third in the nation in steals per game, averaging 12.0 a game.
