> Savannah State travels to Baltimore after a three-game home stand that saw the Lady Tigers take down five-time defending champion Hampton, and then number two ranked Norfolk State in Tiger Arena. SSU enters Saturday's game with Morgan State after a loss to N.C. A&T State on Jan. 31.
> The overall series between SSU and MSU is knotted up at three wins apiece. The Lady Tigers earned their third win over the Lady Bears in the last meeting of the teams. SSU beat Morgan State 82-71 in the first game of the 2014 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Tournament.
> SSU and MSU will be battling for third place in the MEAC standings, as both enter the game with a 5-3 conference record. The Lady Tigers lead the MEAC in scoring offense, averaging 62.9 points a game, and 3-point field goal percent defense (.287).
> The Lady Tigers are led by MEAC preseason player of the year Ezinne Kalu. The Newark, N.J. native is averaging 17.2 points a game, and leads the conference in steals (3.3 avg.). Following Kalu in the stats is senior Jasmine Norman, the only other Lady Tiger in double-digit point's average (10.8). Starters Kenyata Hendrix and Bria Dorsey are both averaging eight points a game.
