NOTES:
> Savannah State enters Saturday's Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) game with Howard having won nine of their last 11 games.
> SSU has been stellar in the Tiger Den over the last two years. In the current season they are 7-3 with huge program wins over Florida and Hampton. Since the beginning of the 2013-14 season, the Lady Tigers are 17-5 in Tiger Arena.
> SSU is in second place in the MEAC standings.  They trail No. 1 Hampton (9-2), who they beat 61-55 on January 24.
> This will only be the fourth meeting of Howard and SSU. Howard leads the series 2-1. SSU earned the program's first win over the Lady Bison in the team's last meeting; a 65-49 win in Washington, D.C. on Jan. 13, 2014.
> As a team, SSU is the No. 1 scoring offense in the MEAC, averaging 63.2 points a game. They also lead the conference in steals, averaging 12.1 a game. Nationally, SSU is ranked fourth in steals per game.
> MEAC Preseason Player of the Year Ezinne Kalu leads the Lady Tigers, averaging 17.5 points a game. Kalu enters the game with 1,992 career points. Among active players, she is the third highest NCAA Division I women's basketball scorer, trumped only by Rachel Banham of Minnestoa (2,179), and Damika Martinze of Iona (2,465). Kalu currently leads all active players in NCAA Division I women's basketball in career steals (352).
