NOTES:
> Savannah State returns home after a successful road trip to Baltimore, Maryland where they picked up Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) wins over Morgan State (72-58), and Coppin State (63-56).
> SSU has been stellar in the Tiger Den over the last two years. In the current season they are 6-3 with huge program wins over Florida and Hampton. Since the beginning of the 2013-14 season, the Lady Tigers are 16-5 in Tiger Arena.
> Behind the overtime victory at Coppin State, SSU took sole possession of second place in the MEAC standings. They trail No. 1 Hampton (8-2), who they beat 61-55 on January 24.
> This will be the 22nd meeting between SSU and S.C. State. The Lady Bulldogs lead the series 15-7. They last met on March 6, 2014 in Tiger Arena. SSU beat S.C. State 60-51.
> As a team SSU is the No. 1 scoring offense in the MEAC, averaging 63.3 points a game. They also lead the conference in steals as a team, averaging 12.4 a game. S.C. State is second in steals with an average of 11.8 in each outing.
> MEAC preseason player of the year Ezinne Kalu leads SSU, averaging 17.2 points a game. Jasmine Norman follows Kalu and is the only other Lady Tiger in double-digit scoring with 10.6 points a game.
