SAVANNAH, Ga. – As the calendar turns toward November, Savannah State University Athletics prepares for another exciting week of competition with four programs in action across the Southeast.
The upcoming week features the conclusion of the women's golf fall schedule in Florida, a pair of Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) volleyball contests, the women's tennis squad sees their first action of the season,, and a football showdown in South Carolina as the Tigers enter the final stretch of their 2026 campaign.

Lady Tigers Conclude Fall Schedule at Flagler Fall Slam
The Savannah State women's golf team will put the finishing touches on its 2026 fall schedule when the Lady Tigers travel to St. Augustine, Florida, for the Flagler College Fall Slam on Monday, October 26, and Tuesday, October 27.
The two-day tournament will take place at Marsh Creek Country Club and marks the final fall competition for the Lady Tigers under first-year head coach Kelly Allen.
Savannah State enters the tournament following its appearance at the Barton College Fall Intercollegiate in Wilson, North Carolina, where the Lady Tigers continued gaining valuable experience against regional competition.
The veteran Savannah State lineup features Jerina Hill, Ziporah Ward, Corryn Rodney, Jenna Wilson, Morgan Wilkerson and Zell Wilson.
The Flagler Fall Slam provides one final opportunity for the Lady Tigers to build momentum and evaluate their progress before turning their attention toward the spring portion of the 2026-27 campaign.

Lady Tigers Face Benedict and Allen in SIAC Action
The Savannah State women's volleyball team continues its push through the final weeks of the regular season with two important conference matchups.
Head coach Roselidah Obunaga and the Lady Tigers begin the week on Tuesday, October 27, when they welcome Benedict College to Tiger Arena for a 6 p.m. contest.
The matchup provides Savannah State with another opportunity to compete in front of its home supporters as the Lady Tigers look to strengthen their position heading into the postseason.
Savannah State will then hit the road on Thursday, October 29, traveling to Columbia, South Carolina, to face Allen University. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m.
The two contests will be important for the Lady Tigers as they continue their pursuit of momentum and consistency against SIAC competition.
With the regular season winding down, Savannah State will look to its experienced players, including Amiyah Walker, Nyalah Smith and Faith Woods, to provide leadership during the final stretch.

Savannah State Begins Season at SIAC Fall Tennis Open
The Savannah State University women's tennis team will return to action this week as the Lady Tigers travel to South Fulton, Georgia, to compete in the 2026 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Fall Tennis Open, scheduled for Wednesday, October 28, through Friday, October 30, at the South Fulton Tennis Center.
The three-day event will bring together conference programs for singles and doubles competition, providing student-athletes with valuable match experience ahead of the spring championship season.
Savannah State will use the tournament as an opportunity to evaluate its progress, develop team chemistry and gain experience against familiar SIAC competition.
The Fall Open also provides an early opportunity for the Lady Tigers to measure themselves against conference opponents as they continue preparations for the 2027 spring season.

Tigers Travel to Benedict for Final SIAC Road Contest
The Savannah State football team will conclude its two-game road swing on Saturday, October 31, when the Tigers travel to Columbia, South Carolina, for a Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference matchup against Benedict College.
Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m.
Under first-year head coach Thomas Howard, Savannah State continues its efforts to build a foundation for the future as the Tigers enter the final two weeks of the regular season.
Saturday's contest comes one week after Savannah State's trip to Frankfort, Kentucky, where they dropped a heartbreaking 27-24 road decision to conference leading Kentucky State.
The matchup against Benedict represents Savannah State's final scheduled conference contest of the 2026 season and its last road appearance before returning home for the season finale.
Following Saturday's game, the Tigers will return to Theodore A. "Ted" Wright Stadium on Saturday, November 7, to host Virginia University of Lynchburg for Senior Day.
Kickoff for the regular-season finale is scheduled for 3 p.m., with Savannah State recognizing members of its senior class for their contributions to the football program.
