SAVANNAH, Ga. Savannah State University has released the women's basketball schedule for the 2025-26 season which will feature 13-regular season home games.
The second stint of the
Phillip Wallace, Jr. era at Savannah State will tip off on November 15 with a exhibition game against Barber-Scotia in Tiger Arena.
The Lady Tigers will open the regular season at home against Trinity Baptist on Nov. 17 in their only non-conference game of the season.
SSU will start conference play with a three-game road swing against LeMoyne-Owen (Nov. 20), Lane (Nov. 22) and Fort Valley State (Nov. 29) before returning home to face Central State (December 4) and Kentucky State (Dec. 6).
Road contests at Albany State (Dec. 11) and Spring Hill (Dec. 13) will be followed with Savannah State playing eight of their next nine games in Tiger Arena.
The Lady Tigers will have a four-game homestand against Tuskegee (Dec. 18), Miles (Dec. 20), Fort Valley State (January 8) and Clark Atlanta (Jan. 10). After a road game at Benedict (Jan. 14), SSU will host Edward Waters (Jan. 17), Allen (Jan. 19), LeMoyne-Owen (Jan. 22) and Lane (Jan. 24).
Trips to Central State (Jan. 29) and Kentucky State (Jan. 31) loom to close out the January slate before Savannah State plays their final two home games of the season against Albany State (February 5) and Spring Hill (Feb. 7).
SSU will close the regular season on the road with trips to Alabama, Florida and South Carolina to face Tuskegee (Feb. 12), Miles (Feb. 14), Edward Waters (Feb. 21) and Allen (Feb. 23).
Savannah State finished the 2024-25 season with a 12-15 overall record and a 7-12 record in conference play. The Lady Tigers advanced to post-season play but lost in the first round of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament.
