Men's Golf Completes Season At PGA Works Championship

KOHLER, Wis.- The Savannah State men's golf squad wrapped up their 2025 golf season by participating in the PGA Works Collegiate Championship which was held May 5-7 at Whistling Straits.

The Tigers finished the three-day event in ninth place with a score of 989 (322-329-338).

Savannah State ended the opening round tied for eighth with Virginia State after shooting a score of 322.

Parker Middleton got off to a great start on the front nine as he made two birdies and shot for par six times. He added a birdie on the 14th hole and ended the day with a 75 and tied for 11th.

Aaron Stocks also started well, shooting for par five times while making birdies on the second and third holes on the first nine holes. He shot for par on the 12th, 13th and 14th holes and added a birdie on the 16th hole to end the day with a 77 and was tied for 15th.

Mark Greene shot a 84 in the first round. He shot for par seven times and made a birdie on the fourth hole while ending the day tied for 37th.

Cameron Powers shot 86 on the first day and Xavier Dozier carded a 89. Powers made birdies on the eighth and 13th holes and shot for par six times while Dozier shot for par six times on the back nine.

In the second round, Middleton shot 78 and finished the day tied for 12th. He made birdies on the third and 11th holes while shooting for par nine times. Stocks ended the day tied for 18th after shooting a 80. He did well on the final nine holes with birdies on the 11th and 16th holes while shooting for par on the 12th, 14th, 15th and 18th holes.

Greene shot 86 in the second round with back-to-back birdies on the sixth and seventh holes. He finished the round shooting for par eight times. Dozier improved his score to 85, making par eight times while Powers shot for par three times on the back nine and finished with a 94.

The finals round saw the team as a whole make three birdies while shooting for par 38 times.

Stokes had the lowest score for SSU in the third round with a 81. He shot for par on the first five holes and made a birdie on 14.

Middleton shot 84 on the final day and made a birdie on the fifth hole. He made par on the back nine four times.

Powers was right behind Middleton with a 84 while Dozier shot 88 and Greene finished with a 89.

Powers made par on the final four holes, Dozier made a birdie on the fifth hole while Greene made par five times on the front nine.

Middleton was the low medalist for Savannah State with a score of 237 (75-78-84) and finished tied for 12th while Stocks was tied for 15th with a score of 238 (77-80-81).

Greene shot 259 (84-86-89) to finish 38th while Dozier was 41st with his score of 262 (89-85-88) and Powers carded a 265 (86-94-85) to finish 42nd.

Texas A&M International won the event with a score of 924 and Kentucky State's Micah Stangebye was the individual low medalist by carding a 218.
