GREER, S.C.- Savannah State wrapped up their fall schedule by competing in the Upstate Intercollegiate at the Greer Country Club on Monday and Tuesday.
The Tigers finished ninth overall, with a score of 637 (314-323).
Quentin Brooks led all SSU golfers with a score of 150 (71-79). Brooks, who finished 22nd, made two birdies in the tournament with the first coming on the first day on the fifth hole and the second in the second round on the tenth hole.
Nathaniel Spencer was 36th with his score of 161 (82-79). He made birdies on the seventh and 18th holes on Monday and then made back-to-back birdies on the fifth and sixth holes on the second day.
Brooks Garland and
Justin Woods finished at 39th and 40th respectively.
Garland shot 166 (89-77) while Woods carded a 167 (79-88).
On the second day of action, Garland shot a birdie on the 15th hole while Woods made a pair of birdies on the first day on the seventh and 16th holes.
Hayden Plybon finished 43th for the Tigers. Plybon shot 82 in the first round and 94 on the second day for a score of 176. He shot for par 12 times.
Xavier Dozier played as an independent and came in 41st with a score of 168. Dozier, who made a birdie in the first round on the fourth hole, shot 86 on the first day and had a 82 in the second round.
Savannah State will return to action in February 2026.
