MOBILE, Ala.- Savannah State put up a valiant fight but dropped their final two matches of the SIAC Round Up on Friday to Albany State and Spring Hill. SSU lost both matches at the Mobile Tennis Center 7-0.
The doubles team of
Madeleine Anne Nolan/Amaia Conner,
Nyla Warner/
Trinitee Henry and
Katelynn Welch/
Yanna Cunningham all lost their matches 6-0,6-0 against Albany State.
Warner and Henry lost their singles matches 6-0, 6-0 while Nolan fell 6-3, 6-0. Welch lost her match 6-1, 6-1 and Cunningham lost her decision 6-2, 6-1. Conner fell 6-0,6-1
In the match with Spring Hill, Nolan/Warner lost their doubles match 6-2, Welch/Henry lost their match 6-1 and Conner/Cunningham lost their match 6-0.
Conner lost her singles match 6-2, 6-0 while Henry fell 6-0, 6-0. Nolan (6-4, ret.), Welch 91-0, ret.), Warner 96-1, 6-1) and Cunningham (6-0, ret.) lost their matches as well.
Savannah State ends their season 0-15 overall and 0-14 in league play.
