WESTIN, Fla.- Savannah State claimed second place in the Division II section of the 2025 Arcis HBCU Golf Championship which was played Sunday and Monday at The Club at Westin Hills.

The Tigers finished the three-round event with a score of 771 (307-308-156) which was two stokes ahead of Miles, who finished with a score of 773. The third round was played as a nine hole round.

Livingstone won the Division II crown with a score of 765 and finishing behind SSU and Miles were Virginia State (791), Winston Salem State (801) and Johnson C. Smith (837).

Low medalist for Savannah State was Jaden Saunders who carded a 187 (72-77-38) to finish third overall.

Saunders made three of his four birdies in the opening round and ended the tournament shooting for par 29 times.

The senior from Acworth, Georgia finished the tournament behind Zostrianos Giordani-Gross of Miles who shot 184 and David Chavez of Virginia State who had a score of 186.

Aaron Stocks was tied for seventh with three others after shooting 192 (76-78-38). Stokes opened the tournament with a birdie on the first hole and finished with five overall.

Two stokes behind Stocks was Mark Greene who shot 194 (77-76-41) to finish in 12th place. Greene had back-to-back birdies in the second round on the second and third holes.

Parker Middleton was tied for 13th with a score of 198 (80-79-39). Middleton shot six birdies with one in the first round, three in the second round and two on the final nine holes.

Xavier Dozier opened the tournament with a birdie on the first hole and shot for par 13 times as he finished 27th with a score of 221 (84-89-48).

Savannah State will host their Spring Invitational on March 10-11 at Crosswinds Golf Course.
