SAVANNAH, Ga.- Savannah State head softball coach
Amber Hallman has announced the Lady Tigers softball schedule for the 2026 season.
The schedule features 40 games with 15 at home and six at a neutral site.
Savannah State enters the year coming off of a 15-25 campaign where the posted a 11-13 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference record. The 15 wins were the most by the program since they won 26 games in 2016 while competing in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference at the Division I level.
SSU will play 12 non-conference contests before shifting into conference play in late February.
The new season begins on February 4 with a home doubleheader against Voorhees followed by a twin-bill on the road at Georgia Southwestern State on Feb. 7. The Lady Tigers will host Paine in a doubleheader on Feb. 10 before hitting the road to play doubleheaders at Johnson C. Smith (Feb. 14) and Trinity College of Jacksonville (Feb. 21). Flagler will visit Savannah State for a doubleheader on Feb. 25.
Savannah State will begin their SIAC schedule with road games to Clark Atlanta (Feb. 28-March 1) and Albany State (Mar. 6-7).
A trip to Birmingham, Alabama to participate in the SIAC Crossover will take place March 10-12 at the Hoover Metropolitan Complex where they will take on SIAC West opponents Spring Hill, Tuskegee, Lane, Kentucky State, LeMoyne-Owen and Miles.
SSU will host Fort Valley State in a three-game home-stand on March 20-21 and will travel to Allen on March 27-28.
Following a non-conference doubleheader at Paine on April 8, Savannah State will close SIAC play at home against Benedict (April 10-11) and Edward Waters (April 17-18).
Savannah State will end the regular season with a non-conference doubleheader at Claflin on April 22, setting the stage for the SIAC Softball Championship presented by Toyota, held in Columbus, Georgia at the South Commons Softball Complex from April 27-29.
