ATLANTA, Ga.-Savannah State softball standouts Ansley Hudson, Donnea Allen and Jayla Alexander have been recognized by the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference for their outstanding play during the 2026 regular season as the league office announced on Monday morning.

Team and individual honorees were voted by the SIAC head coaches.

Hudson was named to the All-SIAC First Team as a outfielder, Allen was named to the All-SIAC Second Team as a starting pitcher and Alexander was tabbed to the All-SIAC Second Team as a Designated Player.

A senior from Deltona, Florida, Hudson led the Lady Tigers with 48 hits, 40 runs, 17 RBI, seven doubles, three triples and two home runs while batting .462. She also stole 34 bases.

During the season, Hudson went 4-for-4 at the plate in contests against Trinity College of Jacksonville, Voorhees and Benedict and had a 3-for-4 effort against Clark Atlanta.

Allen finished the regular season with a 3.29 ERA and a 17-7 record. She pitched 153 innings and recorded 172 strikeouts.

A transfer from Polk State College, Allen pitched a no-hitter against Allen and pitched one-hitters against Voorhees, Trinity, Allen and Benedict. She struck out 12 batters against Trinity, 11 in games against Johnson C. Smith and Allen and struck out ten batters in games against Voorhees, Paine, Benedict and Edward Waters.

Alexander batted .388 and produced 26 runs, 40 hits, eight doubles, one triple, one home run and 26 RBI. 

A sophomore from Duluth, Georgia, Alexander went 4-for-4 at the plate against Fort Valley State, 4-for-5 against Paine and had two 3-for-4 games against Benedict.
