Savannah, Georgia-The early season for Savannah State women's & men's basketball and the road to a championship begins this week for Lady Tiger volleyball. We cover it all in our latest installment of "This Week In Tiger Athletics".

Women's Volleyball
Head Coach Roselidah Obunaga and the Savannah State women's volleyball squad get set to turn their attentions to the 2025 SIAC Women's Volleyball Championship. The Lady Tigers will be the #3 seed in the East Division and will matchup against the West Division's #2 seed in the Marauders of Central State University. It will be a rematch of last season's Championship opener where Savannah State was able to take a 3-1 victory over the Marauders. The two teams also met this year at the SIAC Crossover in Memphis on October 10th, where SSU won 3-1. 

The tournament is set for Thursday, November 20th-Saturday, November 22nd at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center on the campus of Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama. All of the action will be carried live on the SIAC Network.

Women's Basketball
The early portion of the Savannah State women's basketball slate continues with three contests this week. Savannah State will welcome the Eagles of Trinity College of Jacksonville on Monday, November 17th at 7pm inside Tiger Arena, then SSU will hit the road twice this week to open their SIAC schedule. The Lady Tigers will head to "The Volunteer State" of Tennessee starting on Thursday in Memphis against LeMoyne-Owen at 6:30pm EST. Savannah State will then travel east to Jackson where they will meet up with the Dragons of Lane College on Saturday, November 22nd at 3:00pm EST.

Men's Basketball
After a rough start to the season for the Tiger men's basketball squad last week in Florida, the Tigers continue their five-game season opening road trip in Tennessee where they will open SIAC play. The Tigers will face LeMoyne-Owen in Memphis on Thursday, November 20th at 8:30pm EST, then it's on to Jackson to face Lane at 5:00pm EST.
