ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla.- The Savannah State women's golf team wrapped up first and second round play on Monday afternoon in the Fall Slam which is hosted by Flagler at the Marsh Creek Country Club.
The Lady Tigers sit in 12th place with a score of 702. SSU shot 355 in the opening round but shaved eight strokes in the second round to finish the day with a score of 347.
Zell Wilson shot 163 (83-80) for Savannah State and is tied for 49th, heading into the final round of play while 
Jenna Wilson carded a 170 (87-83) and is tied for 60th.
Morgan Wilkerson sits tied for 62nd after shooting 183 (93-90) and 
Angela Dodson (186) and 
Ziporah Ward (199) find themselves at 64th and 65th respectively.
Zell Wilson made a birdie on the third hole in the first round and another on the tenth hole in the second round while shooting for par 20 times. 
Jenna Wilson shot for par 14 times and made a pair of birdies in the opening round on holes six and 16.
Wilkerson made a birdie on the sixth hole in the first round and shot for par ten times in the first two rounds. Dodson carded a 92 in the first round and a 94 in the second round while making par ten times while Ward, who shot 93 in the first round and 106 in the second round, made a birdie on the third hole in the opening round and shot for par seven times.
SSU will open the second half of their season on March 10th at the Savannah State Invitational at Crosswinds Country Club.
