GREER, S.C.- Savannah State's Ziporah Ward carded an eagle in the second round of the Upstate Intercollegiate which was held at the Greer Country Club on Monday and Tuesday.

The freshman from Atlanta, Georgia made the eagle on the first hole on the second day of competition. In the first round, Ward made a birdie on the seventh hole. 

Leading the way for Savannah State was Zell Wilson who finished tied for ninth with a score of 154 (75-79). Wilson made four birdies in the two-day event with three coming on the first day. She made par 20 times.

Morgan Wilkerson was tied for 48th with her score of 174 (87-87). Wilkerson made par a dozen times and also made a pair of birdies on the first day on the seventh and 13th holes.

Angela Dodson carded a 181 (96-85) to place 56th. Dodson shot for par nine times on the first day.

Ward was right behind Dodson in 57th after shooting 182 (89-93).

Jenna Wilson shot 186 (89-97) to finish 60th. Wilson made par six times in the first round.

As a team, Savannah State shot 684 (340-344) to finish 12th overall.

The Lady Tigers will play in the Flagler Fall Bash on October 26-28.
