Atlanta, Georgia-For the first time this season, SIAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week honors have been placed on a Savannah State Tiger. This week's award was given to,
Jaden-Wayne McPherson, the conference announced on Tuesday afternoon.
A true freshman from Ellenwood, Georgia, McPherson finished first among all runners in the 5k race at last week's Harden Street Challenge hosted by Benedict College, crossing the finish line with a time of 17:48.90. His mark was key in helping the Tigers win their first team championship in a meet this season.
McPherson and the Tigers will take part in the 2025 SIAC Cross Country Championships presented by Toyota on Friday morning, October 24th at the Georgia Premier Cross Country Course on the campus of Middle Georgia State University in Macon.
