COLUMBIA, S.C.-
Jaden-Wayne McPherson and
Braylin Grier finished first and second to lead Savannah State to a first place finish in the Harden Street Challenge that was hosted by Benedict on Wednesday afternoon at Owens Field Park.
The Tigers finished with 21 points while Allen had 35. Benedict did not have a full squad to run in the meet.
McPherson finished first among all runners in the 5k race with a time of 17:48.90 while Grier was second after being clocked at 18:38.47.
Kaden Christy finished fourth with a time of 22:37.53,
Cameron Frails was fifth with a run of 23:30.26 and Billy Johnson was 12th after crossing the finish line at the 36:48.24.
The squad preps to close the season at the SIAC Cross Country Championships on Thursday, October 23rd in Macon.
