Savannah Everett and
Kloe Ludy were honored for the play on the volleyball court last week by the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
Everett, a 5-foot-10 junior from Colorado Springs, Colorado won the Offensive Player of the Week Award while
Kloe Ludy, a 5-foot-3 libero from Lafayette, Georgia captured the Defensive Player of the Week Award.
The duo helped Savannah State win four of five matches last week as the Lady Tigers improved their overall record to 4-3 and 3-1 in conference play.
SSU defeated Middle Georgia State in a non-conference match on September 18 and then won three of four matches at the SIAC Crossover on Sept. 20-21 with victories over Kentucky State, LeMoyne-Owen and Lane.
Everett, a outside hitter, ended the week with 85 kills, 18 digs, three blocks and one assists.
Ludy, who is a senior, had 87 digs, 16 assists, three kills and one ace, during the week.
