ATLANTA, Ga.-The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its 2024 Softball All-Conference Teams and individual honors on April 29.2024. The honorees are voted on by the conference's head coaches and sports information directors.
Earning a spot on the team this year was Savannah State freshmen
LaTaviona Parke and
Neveah Ford. Both were named to the All-SIAC Second Team.
Parke, a shortstop, ranked second in doubles (15) and slugging percentage (.706), third in triples (3) and on-base & slugging percentage (1.183), sixth in batting average (.404) and seventh in on-base percentage (.477) in the SIAC during the regular season.
The Wellington, Florida native also led SSU in hits (44), RBI (34), home runs (4) and is second on the team in runs (32) during the regular season.
Ford had a regular season .324 batting average and was second on the team in hits (35), tied for second in triples (2) and third in runs (29) and doubles (5).
A outfielder from Milledgeville, Georgia, Ford had 13 RBI during the regular season.
