Box Score ALBANY, Ga.- The Savannah State softball team traveled to Albany State on March 3, 2024 and was on the short end of a 5-0 score, in a game played at the ASU West Softball Field.
 
It was SSU's first conference of the season.
 
The Lady Tigers were held without a hit in the game and their only two base-runners (Milani Dunning and Caleigh Powell) drew walks.
 
The game was scoreless for the first three innings.
 
ASU scored one run in the bottom of the fourth and added four more in the fifth inning.
 
Zarria Smith was the losing pitcher. Smith struck out four batters in her six innings on the mound.
 
Savannah State (5-9, 2-1) and Albany State will play a double-header on March 4 in Albany.
