WESTON, Fla.- Savannah State's Jaden Saunders won the individual title and SSU finished third in the Division II category at the Arcis HBCU Golf Championship. The tournament was played at The Club at Weston Hills on February 25-26, 2024.
 
Saunders opened the tournament with a 70, making birdies on the second and sixth holes as he shot for par 16 times.  In the second round, he made one double bogey and two bogeys but made birdies on the first, eighth, 10th and 11th holes and shot for par 11 times. The final round saw Saunders made bogeys on the fourth, eighth and 14th holes while shooting for par 15 times. He ended the tournament with a score of 217 (70-72-75).
 
His closest competition was Phillip Darst of Miles who shot 221.
 
As a team, Savannah State had a score of 913 (297-303-313).
 
Lucas Parisi finished tied for sixth with a score of 228 (73-75-80) and Todd Norman was tied for 10th with a score of 230 (74-78-78). Mark Greene was 17th with a score of 238 (80-78-80) and Enguerrano Guiset finished 22nd with a score of 247 (82-85-80).
 
 
Miles was the Division II winner with a score of 908 while Livingstone was second with a score of 912. Virginia State finished third with a score of 943 followed by Winston-Salem State (962) and Johnson C. Smith (1003).
