AUGUSTA, Ga.- The Peach Belt Conference has released the 2022-23 Presidential Honor Roll, presented by Barnes & Noble College. The Honor Roll recognizes the outstanding academic achievements of PBC student-athletes who compete in the league's 16 championship sports both at full member institutions and associate member institutions.
Making the Presidential Honor Roll from the Savannah State University women's golf team were
Angela Dodson,
Miracle Goolsby and Kalia Leonard.
Dodson is a Silver Scholar, Goolsby is a Bronze Scholar and Leonard is a Presidential Scholar.
The Presidential Honor Roll honors all PBC student-athletes who had a GPA of 3.0 or higher for the academic year.
The honor roll has been divided into four groups: Presidential Scholars, Bronze Scholars, Silver Scholars and Gold Scholars. All student-athletes with a GPA from 3.0 to 3.24 are Presidential Scholars while Bronze Scholars are 3.25 to 3.49; Silver 3.50 to 3.74 and Gold Scholars are those with a 3.75 to 4.00.
1,577 student-athletes were recognized on this year's list from the league's 11 core members along with 194 from associate members for a grand total of 1,771 honorees. It is the third honor roll in a row that recognizes over 1,500 athletes and gives the PBC 1,000 or more for the 13th year in a row.
Savannah State's women's golf team is an associate member of the Peach Belt, since the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference does not sponsor women's golf.
