Lady Tigers Battle USCB At Dual In The Lowcountry

SAVANNAH, Ga. – Savannah State hosted the University of South Carolina Beaufort in a dual match on Tuesday at the Lady Tigers' home course, Crosswinds Golf Club.
 
USCB won the dual with a single-round team score of 311. Savannah State carded a 343 following the 18-hole, Par 72 tournament.
 
Saika Charles led the Lady Tigers with a fourth place finish in the individual standings, shooting an 81. Miracle Goolsby carded an 85 followed by Ja'Davia McCallum (87), Angela Dodson (90) and Kaila Leonard (123).
 
USCB's Ashleigh Mead and Cassie Tasney shared medalist honors, both shooting a three-over-Par 75.
 
Savannah State women's golf head to the 2023 Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Championship, April 21-23, in St. Simons Island, Georgia.
 
This year's appearance will mark the second time in the program's history they will compete for a conference championship. Savannah State women's golf joined the PBC in the summer of 2021—the first conference affiliation for the program since it's inception in 2000.
