Allan Leads Tigers At Benbow Invitational

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Savannah State men's and women's golf continued the spring season at the 2022 Benbow Invitational hosted by Butler University.
 
The men's team finished sixth overall. Korbin Allan led the Tigers with a ninth place finish in the individual race. Allan opened with a 73 in the first round and followed that with a 74 on day two for a 147 overall.
 
Nicolas Macsuga shot an 80 to open. On day two, he improved to a 77 to finish with a 157. Mark Greene followed Macsuga with a 162 (81, 81). Todd Norman (166) an Devin Smith (171) rounded out the scoring for Savannah State. The team shot a 631 overall.
 
Purdue Fort Wayne won the men's side with a two-round, team total 575 (293 and 282). Kasey Lilly of Purdue Fort Wayne won individual medalist with a two-round 140 (72, 68).
 
Savannah State men's golf continues the spring schedule with the 2022 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Championship in Atlanta, Georgia April 11-12.
