Men’s Golf Open 2021 Season At Jay Jennison Cup

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – Savannah State men's golf team opened the 2021 season this past weekend at the Jay Jennison Cup hosted by Flagler College.
 
The three-round match, spread over two days at the Royal St. Augustine Country Club in the oldest city in America opened the season for many of the 15 teams in attendance.
 
Savannah State's men's golf concluded the tournament with a team score of 937 (308, 313, 316). Barry College sealed up the title with a team score of 837 (284, 270, 283).
 
Nicholas Macsuga finished tied for 38th after carding a first and second round score of 72 and finishing with a total of 219. Korbin Allan shot a 79 to open and closed the tournament with two rounds of 75. Devin Smith followed with a 79, 83, 81 in the three rounds.  
 
Savannah State men's golf return to the links on Oct. 24 at the Black College Golf Coaches Association Gulf Shore Invitational in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
