Continuing our Inside the Tiger Den series, our new Meet the Team Q&A will introduce you to a number of Savannah State student-athletes over the course of the summer.

What is an interesting fact about yourself?
 
I am of Cuban, Filipino, and German descent.
 
What is your nickname and how did you get it?
 
Cam, I think it was something that just made sense and always stuck. 

What is something small that makes your day better?
 
Coffee. It's part of my morning routine and kick-starts my day.

Where is the most interesting place you've been?
 
 I had a chance to go to Hawaii when I was younger, and I will never forget. The scenery was breathtaking, and I was able to surf my first waves.
 
Who inspires you and why?
 
My father. He has worked incredibly hard to provide my family and I with the most opportunities. He is the definition of hard work and inspires me to be persistent in everything I do.

If you could make one rule that everyone had to follow, what rule would you make?
 
I would mandate for everyone to seek justice, then we could make our way to achieving peace.

What would be some of the most annoying things about having YOURSELF as a roommate?
 
Most likely burning food in the kitchen.
 
Best advice anyone ever gave you?

Be where your feet are.
 
What is your 2020 goal?
 
Keep improving. No matter what aspect of my life, keep gaining knowledge and performing well.

Why did you choose Savannah State?
 
Savannah State offered me an opportunity to keep playing the game I love while being closer to home. I enjoy the town of Savannah and being 10 minutes from the beach.
