SAVANNAH, Ga.—After a 54 hole-tournament at the 2020 Invitation at Savannah Harbor, Savannah State finished in 19th place behind Brown and Bradley University this past weekend.
The Invitational at Savannah Harbor was held at The Club at Savannah Harbor and hosted by William and Mary College.
As a team, the Tigers shot 320 in the first round. They improved by 12 strokes in the second round, finishing with a 308. They fared even better in the final round with a 305 for a three-day total of 933.
Korbin Allan lead Savannah State, finishing five over par with a 221 (77-73-71). Allan had one of the lowest scoring averages (3.93) on par-4's for the tournament.
Trey Odom shot a 233 (78-76-79) while
Lance Eldridge finished with a 241 (84-78-76).
Rounding out Savannah State's individual scores were,
Jacob Cunningham 244 (84-78-82) and
Nicholas Macsuga 248 (81-88-79).
Valparaiso University sat atop the leaderboard, shooting a combined five over par (869). Austin Schoonmaker of Wright State won the individual race with a seven-under, 209 (69-70-70).
