SAVANNAH, Ga – The Savannah State softball team will host a non-conference doubleheader against Bowie State University on Friday.
Originally scheduled for 1 p.m., the game was moved to 2:30 p.m. due to inclement weather.
Both teams will look to secure important wins. Savannah State enters Friday's game on a six-game losing streak. In their last outing, they fell to USC Beaufort in a doubleheader, 3-4 and 2-11. Bowie State is opening their 2020 season today against Savannah State.
Leading the Lady Tigers' batting stats is
Morgan Green. The freshman is batting .450 with nine hits and five runs. Sophomore
Stacie Smith is slugging .615 with five hits and two RBI.
Savannah State softball heads to the SIAC/CIAA Tournament on Feb. 21 and 22 to face four CIAA opponents in non-conference action.
