Abbas Abbkar led the Savannah State men's outdoor track team at the USC Open with a fourth place finish in the 1500m race.

The event was held at the Sheila & Morris Cregger Track.
Â
Abbkar had a time of 4:05.99.
Â
Morgan Ellis-Foster and Ny'em Bozeman also had top ten finishes in their events.
Â
Ellis-Foster was clocked at 15.02 in the 110m hurdles which was good enough for sixth place while Bozeman finished seventh in the high jump with a jump of 1.88m.

The SSU 4x100m relay team finished 10th in their race with a time of 42.93.

Other Savannah State participants at the track meet were Suhieb Mohamed, Michael Johnson,
Carlous Bartee and
Andre Valcin.

Mohamed was 13th in the 3000m (9:15.84), Johnson was 15th in the shot put (11.21m), Bartee finished 18th in the100m (10.96) and Valcin placed 25th in the 400m (50.72).
