ATLANTA, Ga.- Robert Estabrook and
D'Anthony Glover both had first place finishes at the Morehouse Relays which took place Thursday thru Saturday at Edwin Moses Track at B.T. Harvey Stadium on the Morehouse campus.
Estabrook won the javelin event with a throw of 49.86m while Glover won the high jump with a leap of 2.01m
Jakobe Mobley also had a leap of 2.01m in the high jump and was awarded second place while
Raymond McKoy claimed third with his jump of 1.96m.
Dominique Bailey came in second in the decathlon with 4,960 points while
Evan Guyton took fourth in the discus and shot put. Guyton had a throw of 39.19m in the discus and a toss of 14.37m in the shot put. Glover finished fourth in the long jump after being measured at 6.75m.
In the 200m race,
JahKhai St Louis claimed fifth after his run of 26.53 and
Yastremski Johnson was right behind him in sixth after his run of 21.56.
Donovan Holdip was seventh in the hammer throw after his toss of 40.87m.
In the 800m race,
Braylin Grier was 10th with a run of 1:57.21 and
Tayshawn Williams finished 17th after being timed at 2:02.73. Grier came in 22nd in the 1500m race after crossing the finish line with a time of 4:34.83.
Eszaunie Earls was 19th in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:00.78 and
Cameron Frails finished 22nd at 1:01.29.
The meet was a homecoming for several runners from the Atlanta metro area such as
Braylin Grier (Ellenwood),
Eszaunie Earls (Snellville),
Donovan Holdip (Riverdale) and
Raymond McKoy (Winston).
Savannah State finished the meet with 66 points which was good enough for 7th place out of 15 teams.
Virginia Union came in first place with 150 points while Morehouse was second with 119 points and Tennessee State came in third with 103.50 points.
