BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Savannah State track & field team opened their 2026 indoor season by participating in the Green and Gold Invite, hosted by Alabama Birmingham at the Birmingham Crossplex on Friday and Saturday.
Jakobe Mobley finished fifth in the high jump with a leap of 1.99m while teammate
Raymond McKoy was 10th with a jump of 1.89m.
In other field events,
Donovan Holdip was 22nd in the weight throw with a toss of 13.14m and
Evan Guyton was 30th after his toss of 11.20m
Dominique Bailey's leap of 3.15m was good enough for 18th in the pole vault and
Xavier Wilson was 20th in the long jump with a jump of 5.97m.
In the running events, Jaden-Wayne McPhearson finished 25th in the 800m race with a time of 2:01.35 andÂ
Braylin Grier was 25th in the 400m race after being times at 50.79.
Jahkhai St Louis was 27th in the 200m run with a time of 22.25 and was 35th in the 60m run with a time of 7.08.
In the 60m hurdles,
Kajuan Davis finished 18th with a time of 8.63 and
Billy Johnson claimed 27th after his run of 8.86.
