GREENSBORO, N.C. – Freshman
Jaylen Sewell of the Savannah State University women's track team finished 10
th in the 400-meter hurdles with a personal-best of 1:02.77 on Day One of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Championship Thursday.
Sewell beat her previous best time of 1:05.06 set at the Savannah State Duals earlier this season.
On the men's track team, junior
Morgan Ellis-Foster finished ninth in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 54.17, nearly missing out advancing to the finals as the top-eight advance to the finals, while freshman
Ermias Tewolde finished 11
th in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 34:26.55.
Day two continues Friday, while the first Savannah State event is 2 p.m. with the men's long jump.
