PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. – Freshman
Trey Odom led the Savannah State University men's golf team with a sixth-place finish three-over par 75 in the first round at the Professional Golfers' Association Minority Collegiate Golf Championship Friday at the PGA Village.
Junior
Zach Otto finished tied for 12
th with a five-over par 77, while sophomore
Jaden Thiemann and freshman
Matthew Turner finished in a tie for 18
th with a seven-over par 79 and freshman
Matt Thoms finished tied for 35
th with an 85.
As a team, Savannah State is third with a first-round score of 310, three strokes behind second place of Florida A&M University.
The second round continues Saturday.
