SAVANNAH, Ga. – Savannah State University men's golf is hosting the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Championship at the Crosswinds Golf Club in Savannah starting Thursday and concluding the three day tournament Saturday.
 
The Tigers hosted the event last season as Augusta University won the event with a 43-under par 821 and Emmauel Kountakis won the individual title from Augusta with a 15-under par 201, while Savannah State finished third.
 
This season, eight teams are competing in the tournament this season that includes Augusta, Bethune-Cookman University, North Carolina A&T State University, North Carolina Central University, Hampton University, University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Florida A&M University and Savannah State.
 
The Crosswinds Golf Course is 6,748 yards long and it features five par threes and five par fives for a 72-par course.
 
Each of the three rounds start at 7:30 a.m.
